Founded in 1987 by Kendall Collier and Teresa Day, Magic Moments owns and operates five special event venues: Flint Hill and The Atrium in Norcross, Primrose Cottage in Roswell, Little Gardens in Lawrenceville and our newest addition, Cloverleaf Farm just outside of Athens. A Divine Event, a division of Magic Moments, supplies all the event services for these premier properties including catering, floral design, decor and event planning.
Little Gardens is a colonial style special event venue nestled in the midst of a 3-acre estate in Lawrenceville, Georgia, offering an enchanted outdoor ceremony area enhanced with a picturesque waterfall koi fish pond. Inside, a beautifully designed ballroom encased by glass doors opens to this secluded garden. Upstairs, a large bridal suite with overstuffed sofas, a floor-to-ceiling mirror and fireplace welcomes the bride into a luxurious sanctuary.
Built in the 1930's by the Carver family and used as a private residence until the 1980's, Little Gardens recently served as a restaurant and event site. Under its new ownership, the home and gardens have been renovated and now operate exclusively as a full-service wedding and special event venue. In the midst of a beautifully landscaped 3-acre estate, Little Gardens continues to charm visitors with its park-like setting.
Atop a ridge on a rolling front lawn, the six columned, two-story porch shades the home from the summer sun offering an inviting spot to sit and rock. Built 70 years after the War Between the States, Little Gardens still evokes thoughts of the Old South. This lovely, colonial-style mansion was constructed of pine and hardwoods from the surrounding forest.
The house was named "Little Gardens" after Mr. Carver's childhood farmhouse in Hanover, Virginia where vegetables grew throughout the farm's many little gardens. Instead of vegetables, colorful flowers now fill the new estate with ever-blooming annuals, perennials, flowering shrubs and trees, fragrant antique roses, seasonal bulbs and evergreens. Each season offers an element of surprise to the delight of all who cherish gardens and butterflies.
Little Gardens offers enchanting outdoor areas for ceremonies enhanced with a waterfall koi pond and picturesque garden bridge. Inside, a spectacular ballroom opens to this secluded garden. Beautifully appointed buffets adorned with magnificent custom floral displays greet guests with award-winning cuisine. Rooms flow from one to the next with cozy conversation areas tucked throughout.
Upstairs, a large bridal suite filled with overstuffed couches, a private restroom and dressing area, floor-to-ceiling mirror, and fireplace welcomes the bride. Across the hall a groom's room with a bar, flat screen television, and personal restroom provides the perfect retreat for the groom and his groomsmen.
For the ultimate experience in at-home entertaining, Little Gardens customizes each catered event allowing every client the freedom to play the gracious host. Corporate clients especially appreciate the atmosphere that Little Gardens provides. Guests are able to enjoy the warm ambiance of the house during the cocktail hour and then come together as a group in the ballroom. Because the house and grounds are so varied, the venue adapts beautifully to themed events, allowing corporate clients the flexibility to brand their events for added value.
